Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Chef’ starts on a slow note

Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Chef’ registered a very poor opening of under 10%. The figures are even less than those of Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Simran’ and Farhan Akhtar-starrer ‘Lucknow Central’. The movie has got limited single screen release, so there is not much occupancy. ‘Judwaa 2’ is still dominating the box office with double the collections of ‘Chef’ and this is majorly at metro multiplexes whereas the business at multiplexes of A and B are three and four times.

Looking at the opening of ‘Chef’, one can ascertain that this weekend will also belong to ‘Judwaa 2’, even if ‘Chef’ shows some growth over the weekend which it should ideally, as the business is so bad on Friday morning. (Also Read: Chef movie review: A mouth-watering ride)

The film is a remake of a Hollywood movie by the same name. It features Saif as a chef and is based around the rediscovery of his bonding with his son. Watch this space for more updates.
