Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’ earns up to 142 crore at the box-office

Choreographer-director Remo D’Souza’s action thriller ‘Race 3’ starring superstar Salman Khan has successfully completed eight days at the box office. The Eid bonanza of Salman is making the most of the fact that this Friday no other film was released. ‘Race 3’ is expected to have a smooth run at the box office and earn few more crore until Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’ hits the theatre on June 29.

The film that had minted around  132.50 crores nett until two days back, has now added few more crores to its collection on the eighth day. According to a report in trade magazine Box office India, the film’s total collection so far is 142.50 crore nett. It is being reported that the film’s collection dropped around 40%.

However, ‘Race 3’ has already recovered its budget, as the satellite rights of the film had been sold for a whopping 130 crore, a price which is way more than the film’s budget. The makers of this action thriller are already rejoicing the fact that their film earned 100 crores in just 3 days. Happy with the success of this third installation of the hit ‘Race’ franchise, the makers are already planning for the fourth part which will once again feature Salman Khan in the lead role.

Also starring Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah in pivotal roles, the film had hit the silver screens on June 15.
