Salman Khan‘s latest release ‘Tubelight’ has turned out to be an unwelcome surprise. It was Salman’s Eidi to his fans this year, but unfortunately, people did not like his gift. Even though the film received mixed reviews from the critics, we had expected that the film will be showered with love by the audience, but the scene is exactly opposite. Well, the result of the same has had a drastic effect on the box office numbers. ‘Tubelight’ has failed to make it big at the box office and numbers are just dipping by the day. On Wednesday, i.e., on day 6, ‘Tubelight’ raked in only Rs 5.75 crore at the box office.
The collections of the film have witnessed almost 50% drop, as on Tuesday, ‘Tubelight’ had collected Rs 11.75 crore. The numbers are really shocking as nobody ever expected a Salman Khan released on Eid to fare so badly at the box office. The Eid factor has clearly not favoured Salman Khan this time.
The total collection of the film stands at Rs 98.75 crore. Directed by Kabir Khan, ‘Tubelight’ also has Sohail Khan, Matin Rey Tangu and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in pivotal roles. (Also Read: Post ‘Tubelight’, Salman Khan to play a 75-year-old in Kabir Khan’s next?)
