Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight‘ has done a poor business at the box office in its second week. The movie did a business of Rs 12 crore nett in its second week and that takes its total collection to Rs 114.50 crore nett. The second week drop is a massive 88% and the third week is going to be even worse as the movie will go down to 1-2 screenings at many multiplexes. Going by the current trend, the movie will mostly finish at Rs 116 crore nett.
Undoubtedly, the second week numbers are the lowest for a Salman Khan movie since the Rs 6 crore nett collection of his 2010 movie ‘Veer’. The numbers are even lower than many of the releases this year, like for instance, a movie like ‘Hindi Medium’ which was high on content managed to earn better than ‘Tubelight’ in its second week. ‘Tubelight’ stands at the seventh place in the second week collections of this year after ‘Raees’ which stands at the sixth position. Of course, the top spot is occupied by ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’. ‘Tubelight’ is the highest grosser in Bihar, Assam and Odisha.
