The movie Samrat Prithviraj, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi has witnessed a drop in the first Monday collections at the box office. The movie starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar was released in theatres on June 3, Friday. On the first day of its release, the movie Samrat Prithviraj managed to rake a collection of over 10 crore. And made a decent collection on the first weekend at the box office too.
A Box Office India report said that Samrat Prithviraj saw a 55% drop in its box office collections on the fourth day of its release. The report mentioned that the Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar starrer collected 5 crore nett range. As per the report, the total of the film so far, is 44 crore nett plus. Despite the other releases like Major, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Vikram, Samrat Prithviraj has seen a decent collection.
According to the report, “Samrat Prithviraj had a drop in collections as it saw a drop of 55% to collect in the 5 crore nett range. The drop was less in UP with collections going down 40% there while other places like Rajasthan and CI were also on the right side of 50% but generally collections fell in the 55-60% range from Friday.”

Day 3 – Sunday – 16,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 44,25,00,000 apprx
As per the report, “This takes the total of the film to 44 crore nett plus and the week should end around 56 crore nett. the hold is simply not good enough as the film needed to be around 30% for a chance to do good business in the final run.”
Meanwhile, the movie Samrat Prithviraj also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood in key roles.
Bollywood Bubble gave the movie Samrat Prithviraj a rating of three stars in its review.
