Samrat Prithviraj Box Office: Akshay Kumar starrer makes a decent collection on Day 2

The movie Samrat Prithviraj, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi had a decent second day, in terms of box office collections. The movie starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar was released in theatres on June 3, Friday. It opened with a collection of over 10 crore nett. Although the Akshay Kumar starrer had a slow start, it picked up its pace with the collections.

A Box Office India report said that the movie Samrat Prithviraj witnessed a growth in the second-day collections. The Chandraprakash Dwivedi directorial collected 12.50 crore nett. In total, the movie has managed to make a total collection of 23 crore nett plus, at the box office.

According to the report, “Samrat Prithviraj had a fair second day as it collected around 12.50 crore nett to have a two day total of 23 crore nett plus. The growth could have been better but still it went up from the previous day despite having a huge chunk of business from areas where business does not grow much on Saturday for big releases.”

Here are the Samrat Prithviraj box office collections so far:

Day 1 – Friday – 10,75,00,000 apprx

Day 2 – Saturday – 12,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 23,25,00,000 apprx

As per the report, “The growth on Saturday was limited as its being driven by mass markets but hopefully the film will get better growth on Sunday compared to Saturday which is a must if it is to have a chance of holding up on Monday. The collections of Samrat Prithviraj are as follows.”

Meanwhile, the movie was produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Samrat Prithviraj also stars Sonu Sood, and Sanjay Dutt, as well, apart from actors Akshay Kumar, and Manushi Chillar. The movie features Akshay playing the role of Samrat Prithviraj. Manushi made her big Bollywood debut.
