Sanam Teri Kasam re-release Box Office collection Day 1: Harshvardhan Rane & Mawra Hocane starrer break records with its fantastic openings

Make way for Sanam Teri Kasam, which is making waves at the box office once again. Starring Harshvardhan Rane and Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, this romantic drama struck a chord with audiences during its original release. However, despite receiving appreciation, the 2016 film failed to perform well at the box office back then. Now, nine years later, Sanam Teri Kasam is enjoying a much brighter fate as it has achieved a significant milestone within just one day of its theatrical re-release.

Jointly produced by Soham Rockstar Productions and Jhoom Jhoom Productions, Sanam Teri Kasam has emerged as a top pick for moviegoers this year. Looking at its box office numbers, the film, led by Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, collected Rs 8 crore net in India during its initial 2016 run. Now, after just two days of its re-release, the film’s total earnings are expected to reach close to Rs 5. 14 crore net.

The lead of the film Harshvardhan Rane also posted on Instagram and captioned, “WOW, WHAT A DAY!!! We are completely with the response to #SanamTeriKasam on its FIRST DAY BACK IN THEATRES!!! Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the film recorded an impressive pre-sale of 67,000 tickets for its opening day. Over the course of two days, this tragic love story, which narrates the emotional journey of Inder and Saru, has seen an increase in its screenings. The second week of its re-release also looks promising, especially with Valentine’s Day (February 14) around the corner, a period when romantic films tend to attract more audiences.
