Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Sanju‘, based on the life of Sanjay Dutt, has winner written all over it. With entering the 100 crore club in just three days of its release, and shattering many other records, the film has now become the highest-grosser of 2018. While the movie had already collected Rs 300 crore club at the worldwide box-office, it is soon to attain the same figure as its national collection today. Now the cherry on top is that Hirani’s directorial has raked in Rs 500 crores at the global box office.

Claiming that the film is an all-time blockbuster, famous trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, shared the figures of the international circuit. Taking to his Twitter handle, Adarsh wrote, “#Sanju continues its DREAM RUN… Crosses ₹ 500 cr mark worldwide [Gross BOC] after Week 2… Breakup: India Nett BOC: ₹ 295.18 cr India Gross BOC: ₹ 378.43 cr Overseas Gross BOC: ₹ 122 cr Worldwide Gross total: ₹ 500.43 cr.”

Speaking about the film, it hit the silver screens on June 29. Produced by Rajkumar Hirani Films and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film shed light on various facets of Sanjay Dutt’s life, from his many girlfriends, drug addiction to his involvement in 1993 bomb blasts. Though the film failed to touch the other important aspects of Dutt’s life including his first wife Richa Sharma, the movie still managed to score well at the box office.
