Second weekend business of ‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ looks decent

The second weekend business of two big budget films, ‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is decent. Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ minted Rs 5.75 crore on Sunday and the total ten day business of the movie is Rs 76.72. The drop is just 45% less from the first weekend, but that’s not bad. To do a good lifetime business, the movie needs to gain strong on Monday.

Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan collected Rs 6.50 crore on Sunday and the ten days business of the movie stands at Rs 94.35 crore. It’s 52% less than the first weekend, but then it was a pre-Diwali weekend and the collections were expected to be good. The movie has earned well in Mumbai, Delhi, Andhra and Mysore with Mumbai earning the highest.

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is still leading the race as the movie earned really well in the beginning, but ‘Shivaay’ too has managed to catch up quite well. Since there was no movie last Friday, we can expect good numbers till upcoming Thursday as ‘Rock On 2’ will make an entry on coming Friday.
