Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan is unstoppable at the box office ever since its release. The Siddharth Anand directorial is on a minting spree not only in the country but overseas too. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan beats Aamir Khan’s Dangal and emerges as the highest-grossing film in Hindi.
The spy thriller has done wonders overseas and crossed Rs 725 crore mark globally. The Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer has also minted ₹729 crores worldwide and is unstoppable at the box office.
As per Box Office India reports, Pathaan has shown huge gains on Saturday to collect the 21.50-22 crore net. This takes the total to 382 crore net. The SRK starrer has eclipsed Aamir Khan’s sports drama Dangal which had earned 374 crore net. The movie is set to cross the 400 crore net benchmark by Sunday which will also be the first for an original Hindi film.
The SRK and Deepika Padukone starrer action dhamaka continues to outperform in Delhi / UP, West Bengal, Assam, Nizam / Andhra, Mysore and Kerala. It is also breaking records in overseas markets.
If the SRK starrer keeps up its momentum, Pathaan is expected to break KGF 2 and Baahubali’s records. It is expected to break Baahubali 2’s record of Rs 511 crore in Hindi.
Pathaan is a YRF spy actioner that has Shah Rukh in the titular role of an Indian intelligence agent. He joins Deepika Padukone to thwart a terror attack planned by the mercenary group Outfit X, led by Jim (John Abraham) on the Indian capital. The film also features Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
The movie is King Khan’s first big screen release post a four-year hiatus. It is also the fourth movie in Aditya Chopra’s spy universe, following Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, and War, featuring Hrithik Roshan. Salman Khan also made a special appearance as Tiger in Pathaan.
