Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan BEATS Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2 Hindi at domestic box office, director REACTS

Spy-thriller Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham is a legit blockbuster movie. The film is busy minting money at the box office and so much so that it has now beaten the lifetime business of the mammoth Baahubali 2: The Conclusion starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati. Yes, you read that right. 

However, just to be clear, SRK starrer Pathaan (all languages) collected Rs 511 crore on Thursday. Going by the latest trend, the movie has now surpassed the lifetime collections of the Baabubali Hindi version which earned Rs 510.99 crore. Well, this is indeed a huge milestone. Even Pathaan director Siddharth Anand is elated with the response as he called it a ‘Proud Moment’ for him.

Siddharth REACTS to Pathaan box office:

Sharing a poster of Pathaan, Siddharth tweeted, “Crossed The Lifetime Collections Of #Baahubali2 In Hindi. Proud Moment For Me…!!! Once Again Thanks To All The Audience Who Encouraged The Film. #Pathaan” 

Having said that, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan is now at the top spot of the Highest-grossing films list which is then followed by Baahubali 2 Hindi, Yash starrer KGF 2 Hindi and Aamir Khan starrer Dangal. Despite it has been more than a month since Pathaan was released, it is surely unstoppable right now at the domestic box office whereas the movie has also crossed the 1000 crore mark with elan.

Earlier, at a success event of Pathaan, King Khan shared his experience on coming on board. “It’s nice to be back. I am not in a hurry to finish the film. Its always been my desire to spread happiness among people and make films to entertain. Whenever I fail to do so, nobody feels as bad as me. I am very happy that I was able to spread happiness and especially to those who are close to my heart – Aditya Chopra and Siddharth. And those who gave me the opportunity as you will notice the film is a very big film, it will be an expensive film. But to get me and give me a chance to come at the time I was not working and allow me to be a part of this film. I will ever ever be grateful to Aditya Chopra and Siddharth. And also to Deepika. I have forgotten those 4 years in these 4 days.”

Pathaan is one of the parts of the spy universe. The movie was released on January 25.
