Shehzada Box Office: Kartik Aaryan starrer records decent Day 1 collections

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Shehzada opened with a decent start on the first day of the release, at the box office. The Rohit Dhawan directorial was released in theatres on Friday, February 17, exactly a week after its initial release date. Shehzada had a reasonable first day, in terms of the box office collections.

A Box Office India report said that Shehzada could not collect much on the opening day. As per the reports, the Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer made collections of Rs 5.75 to Rs 6 crore nett at the box office. The report further stated that the movie had gained some momentum with a special offer on the ticket sales, announced by the makers. However, the special offer on the tickets also did not help with the collections. As per the report, the collections eventually slowed and fizzled out by the end of the day.

With the Kartik Aaryan starrer not opening on a good start, the film is expected to witness a rise in the collections of the second and third day. As the weekend drops in, Shehzada might likely show growth with a decent first weekend collections.

Pathaan box office

While Shehzada tries to gain momentum with its collections, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan continues to hold strong. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer has successfully entered its third week with a strong hold. The movie has so far crossed the 500 crore mark at the box office. Pathaan raked Rs 508.10 crore at the box office, in the domestic circuits, as per the collections by Yash Raj Films. The film is heading strong towards the 1000 crore mark at the box office, globally. And, Pathaan is expected to cross the 1000 crore mark at the box office, if it continues its dream run in the coming two weeks.

Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra. It features SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, with Salman Khan in a cameo appearance.

Meanwhile, the makers of the movie had hosted a special screening for the members of the Hindi film industry. And, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Patralekhaa, Huma Qureshi and several others were clicked at the screening. It was Arjun Kapoor took to his Instagram and shared his review of Shehzada. The actor called the movie ‘full paisa vasool’ and a ‘family entertainer’. Later, Kartik Aaryan thanked Arjun as well.

The Rohit Dhawan directorial also features Ronit Roy, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, and Ankur Rathee in key roles. And, Bollywood Bubble gave the movie a rating of three and a half stars in the review. Read the Shehzada review HERE.
