Looks like Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez’s sizzling chemistry in ‘A Gentleman’ has failed to entice the audience. The film that made it to the theatres this Friday has failed leave a mark at the box office with its collection. The film received a poor opening at the box office on day 1 and even on the day 2, we did not see a great difference in the numbers. As per statistics, ‘A Gentleman’ has collected approximately Rs 4 crore at the box office on the second day from its release.
The grand total of this film stands at Rs 7.75 crore. On day 1, this Raj & DK directorial had collected Rs 3.75 crore. The jump in numbers is hardly anything and we aren’t expecting the day 3 to be great as well. The film opened to negative reviews with many critics slamming the film left, right and center. Going by the collections of ‘A Gentleman’, this film has clearly failed to entertain the masses. (Also Read: A Gentleman Movie Review: Strong action loses its way amid ill-conceived plot)
On the other hand, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bidita Bag’s ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ has done a decent business at the box office in two days. On day 2, this film collected Rs 1.25 crore at the box office taking the total collection of this film to Rs 2.50 crore. Considering that the production cost of this film was just Rs 5 crore, the numbers seem to be decent.
The other two films, ‘Qaidi Band’ and ‘Sniff’ that clashed with these two films this Friday have hardly made any impact at the box office. Their collection seems to be negligible.
