Farhan Akhtar-starrer ‘Lucknow Central’ and Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Simran’, both took a slow start at the box office. But, the latter on its day one showed a growth during the evening and night shows in multiplexes, and it helped the film to come with some decent numbers.
On day one, ‘Simran’ collected Rs 2.43 crore and on its second day, it showed a growth. On Saturday, it collected Rs 3.40 approx., taking the two-day total to Rs 5.83 crore. Well, the collection is decent if we see the clash factor, but then for a film with a budget of Rs 30 crore, this is quite low. The movie needs to show a big jump today and has been to be stable on weekdays to sustain at the box office. (Also Read: Simran movie review: Kangana shines through an average, mildly-flawed film)
Farhan-starrer ‘Lucknow Central’ on its second day collected Rs 2.65 crore approx. which is not at all great. Though after collecting Rs 1.74 crore on day one, it showed a growth on its second day, but with just Rs 4.39 crore in two days, we don’t much expect from this Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty-starrer.
It is clear that the Kangana Ranaut-starrer has won the clash, but it will be interesting to see whether the film will be a successful venture at the box office.
