Farhan Akhtar-starrer ‘Lucknow Central’ has had a poor weekend, while Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Simran’ has collected an average amount in three days. We had no expectations from the former, but the latter at least had some chances of surviving. However, much to our chagrin, that did not happen.
The Hansal Mehta directorial showed a huge drop at the box office on its fourth day. The movie collected Rs 1.15 crore, taking the four-day total to Rs 10.63 crore. ‘Simran’ should have trended like ‘Queen’ on weekdays to be on a safer side, but that has not happened. This looks like an another flop for Kangana Ranaut.
On the other hand, ‘Lucknow Central’ has failed badly at the box office. The movie collected Rs 1 crore on its fourth day. The total collection of the film is Rs 8.39 crore. (Also Read: Lucknow Central movie review: Has its intention on point)
Both the movies had only this week to collect as next week they will be facing competition from ‘Bhoomi’, ‘Haseena Parkar’ and ‘Newton’. But, it doesn’t look like there will be any improvement in the collection, in the upcoming days.
Kangana and Farhan, both were having a bad run at the box office, and with such a bad response to their recent releases, they are surely no more the bankable actors in Bollywood.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
