‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ records a great first week at the box office

Luv Ranjan’s romantic comedy (or should we say bromantic comedy?) ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ is going great at the box office. After a week-long run at the box office, the film has minted an amount of Rs 43.75 Crore.

Luv Ranjan, post the success of ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama’ franchise, figured his target audience well. Hence, the film featuring young actors and banking on quirky content, is naturally winning hearts! Given then that a long weekend including Holi follows, the collection could easily witness a good rise.

The film was expected to do a good business in Northern regions including Delhi and Punjab, but performed pretty well in Mumbai too. This week onward, it competes with ‘Pari’. We’re to see if it enters the 50-crore club by end of the going week!
