Sridevi-starrer ‘MOM‘ received rave reviews from critics, but had a slow start at the box office. The film that also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna failed to leave a good impression with its box office numbers on day 1, but the following days proved to be good for ‘MOM’. Positive word of mouth has worked for the film and it gained mileage over the weekend. On Saturday, it earned Rs 5 crore at the box office and on Sunday it showed a good growth by earning Rs 6.25 crore approximately.
Going by the statistics, the total collection of ‘MOM’ stands at Rs 14.25 crore approximately. The numbers are not that great but still the graph is up and hence, a moment for makers of ‘MOM’ to rejoice. This Sridevi-starrer had competition from ‘Guest Iin London’. Let’s see what happens over the weekdays.
The film has time till July 14 to make money at the box office. On July 14, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Jagga Jasoos’ makes it to the theatres. (Also Read: ‘MOM’ movie review: Sridevi’s brilliant act and a fantastic story make this one a must watch)
