The Kashmir Files Box Office: Anupam Kher starrer maintains good hold on third weekend

The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri had yet another strong weekend at the box office. The Vivek Agnihotri movie that was released in theatres on March 11 continues to maintain a strong hold at the box office. The Kashmir Files has recorded a good collection in the third weekend, despite the release of movies like RRR and Bachchhan Paandey. The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher witnessed a drop of 70% in the collections from the second weekend but had a good third weekend.

A Box Office India report said that the third-weekend collection of the Vivek Agnihotri starrer is 20.75 crore nett. With that, it takes the total collection of the movie to 226.50 crore net. As per the report, “The third weekend sees collections around 20.75 crore nett which takes its overall total to 226.50 crore nett.”

According to the report, “The Kashmir Files had another good weekend but there was a drop compared to the second weekend which was a phenomenal weekend. The business is down around 70% from the second weekend. This is probably due to the competition from RRR but mainly as it has exhausted most of its audience.”

Meanwhile, speaking with Bollywood Bubble, director Vivek Agnihotri opened up about the massive success of the movie. He revealed that he was not expecting such kind of a mass movement. “I was not expecting this type of mass movement around it. Now people have owned the film, it has become their film, which is a good thing,” Agnihotri said.

The Kashmir Files stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar in key roles. The movie was produced under the banner of Zee Studios.
