Salman Khan is undeniably one of the biggest action superstars in Indian cinema. The actor lighted up our Diwali celebrations with his latest outing Tiger 3 and looking at first day box office collections, we can right say that the movie has created new records. On Sunday, the Salman Khan –Katrina Kaif actioner opened to fantastic numbers despite Laxmi Puja day, considered to be dull at the box office.

Tiger 3 Day 1 Domestic Box Office Collection

The first day collection of Tiger 3 is out and it has opened to a staggering collection of Rs 44.50 crores. It earned 43 crore in Hindi language and Rs 1.50 crore came from other languages. Tiger 3 had an overall 41.32% Hindi Occupancy on Sunday in the Hindi screenings.

With this, Tiger 3 has emerged 5th highest opener on 2023.

Pathaan: 57 cr

Tiger 3: 44.50 cr

Gadar 2: 40.10 cr

Adipurush: 36 cr

About Tiger 3

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the actioner released on 12th November and also stars Emraan Hashmi as an antagonist. The film also has a cameo of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. It is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious YRF spy universe following the events of Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan.

To note, Tiger 3 has a straight 3-week window at the box office until Sam Bahadur and Animal’s release on 1st December. It is expected to become the 4th Hindi film to enter the 500 crore club at the Indian box office.
