Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3 enjoyed a great start at the box office on Diwali, 12th November. The mass actioner has been receiving overwhelming response unanimously. Looks like it has already started smashing records. It recorded an excellent opening day collection of a whopping Rs 44.50 crore in India according to trade reports.
With this collection, Tiger 3 has emerged as Salman Khan’s biggest opener at the box office followed by, Ali Abbas Zafar’s 2019 period drama Bharat (Rs 42.30 crore) and Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015 (Rs 40.35 crore), which also released on Diwali.
About Tiger 3
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the actioner also stars Emraan Hashmi as an antagonist. The film also has a cameo of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. It is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious YRF spy universe following the events of Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan. Ahead of release, the actor requested fans to not give any spoilers. The superstar wrote, “We have made Tiger 3 with a lot of passion and we are counting on you to protect our spoilers when you see the film. Spoilers can ruin the movie-watching experience. We trust you to do what is right. We hope Tiger 3 is the perfect Diwali gift from us to you!! Releasing in cinemas tomorrow in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”
