‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ registers the fourth-highest opening day business of all times

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ released yesterday to packed theatres. The movie has broken records and has registered the highest non holiday collections of the year (excluding ‘Baahubali 2’).

Also, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has turned out to be the fourth highest opener of all times, not counting ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’. The first day business of movies like ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Happy New Year’ is above that of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, but those movies were holiday releases. The movie faced obstacles in Rajasthan due to protests against Salman Khan for making some comments few years ago. However, Rajasthan still managed to fetch Rs 2 crore nett. The movie has been majorly driven my multiplexes outside metros and single screens. With a long Christmas weekend, the business of the movie will only grow better.
