‘Tubelight’ has a major drop in collection on the second Friday

Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight‘ has shown a considerable amount of drop in it’s box office numbers on the second Friday. The movie which did a business of Rs 4.25 crore on Thursday, fell by almost 50% as it collected Rs 2-2.25 crore nett on second Friday. So the total eight day business of the movie is Rs 105 crore nett. Going by the curent trend, the movie could do a business of around Rs 9 crore in its second weekend. The numbers are clearly not impressive for a Salman Khan movie considering his star power and the record-breaking numbers of his previous movies.

If we have to count proper Hindi movies, then this movie could stand at the second position after Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ to become the second highest grosser of the first half of this year. (Also Read: Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ co-star Zhu Zhu not pleased with the box office response?)

The movie has surely not performed as one would have expected it to. Apart from Salman Khan, the movie also stars Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu child artiste Matin Rey Tangu.
