‘Udta Punjab’ first Monday business is slightly lower than expected

‘Udta Punjab‘ which opened to a good amount of Rs 10 crore on the first day of its release, has a drop of 54% on Monday from Friday. On Monday, ‘Udta Punjab’ collected Rs 4 crore 50 lakh which is lower than expected but considering the fact that it’s a dark thriller for a limited audience, it’s kind of obvious to see these figures.

So the total 4 day collection of this movie stands at Rs 37 crores 75 lakh which is a fair amount for this movie considering the fact that it was leaked 2 days before release and faced many pitfalls. So we are anticipating the first week collections to go around 48 crore and then let’s wait for the second Friday to see where the collections stand. The movie has been appreciated for its overall performances and it has garnered mixed reviews from the audiences. But it has done very well in East Punjab, Delhi, UP, Mumbai and Mysore.
