Yodha box office: Sidharth Malhotra starrer continues its steady run; earns over Rs 20 crore in 5 days

Yodha movie starring Sidharth Malhotra and Raashii Khanna continues to entertain the audience with its high-octane action and unexpected twists and turns. The movie got a thumbs up from the fans as they were seen praising the movie on social media. However, speaking about its box office collections, Yodha raked in Rs 2.22 crore on day 5, maintaining a steady pace. The total of the movie comes to Rs 21.98 crore.

Yodha will now face competition from two new releases that are set to be released this week. Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut Madgaon Express and Randeep Hooda’s directorial debut Swatantrya Veer Savarkar will be released on March 22.

Friday – Day 1: Rs 4.25 crore

Saturday – Day 2: Rs 6.01 crore

Sunday – Day 3: Rs 7.25 crore

Monday – Day 4: Rs 2.25 crore

Tuesday – Day 5: Rs 2.22 crore

Total: Rs 21.98 crore

Sidharth Malhotra talks about the action

The Shershaah actor does action all by himself for Yodha. He even trained himself in hand-to-hand combat and knife techniques, so that it looks natural and effective. Moreover, Sidharth wanted his character Arun Katyal to look so convincing that he shed oodles of weight for the role. The makers released a video on what went on behind the action sequences. In the video, Malhotra said, “I lost weight for it, got a different kind of training. It started with a lot of prep of just understanding what looks good on my body. We trained a lot in hand-to-hand combat with Craig and his team.“

Directed by Sagar Ambre & Pushkar Ojha, Yodha release date is March 15. The movie also stars Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani.
