Dream Girl 2 Box Office: Ayushmann Khurrana’s film remains steady, collects Rs 4.70 crore on Day 8

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday’s film Dream Girl 2 continues to win hearts at the box office.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer Dream Girl 2 released on 25^th August. Dream Girl 2 started on a good note and has been winning hearts at the box office. For the uninitiated, Ayushmann’s film collected Rs 10.69 crore on its first day. It collected Rs 67 crore in 7 days of its release. The film is successfully running in the theatres.

Ayushman and Ananya’s film earned Rs 4.70 crore on day 8. The Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial film’s total collection now stands at Rs 71.7 crore. The makers thanked fans for all the love. They wrote, “Aapka pyaar, Dream Girl hai shukraguzaar (red heart emoji).”

Dream Girl 2 is a sequel to Dream Girl (2019) which was also helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. Ayushnmann as Pooja is back and winning hearts. On the other hand, Ananya is playing the role of Pari Shrivastva in the sequel. Apart from Ayushmann and Ananya, the sequel also stars Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Manoj Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Seema Pahwa among others.

Bollywood Bubble gave 3 stars to Dream Girl 2. A part of the review read, “Ayushmann as Pooja is superb. He walks, talks, and acts like a woman. However, Ayushmann is unnecessarily over-dramatic as Karam. Even with limited screen space, Ananya makes her presence felt as Pari. Their Mathura accent is bang on, leaving no room for error. Annu Kapoor and Paresh Rawal undoubtedly a treat to watch in this one and so is the entire supporting cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa & Manjot Singh.”
