Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao perform Ganga Aarti in Varanasi amidst Mr and Mrs Mahi promotions

Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor are currently promoting their much-anticipated film, Mr & Mrs Mahi. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the movie has been generating significant buzz online with its promotional content. On Monday, after casting their votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, Rajkummar and Janhvi headed to Varanasi for further promotions. During this visit, the lead stars sought blessings at Dashashwamedh Ghat, performing the Ganga Aarti, and several pictures and videos from this event have surfaced online. In one image, Rajkummar is seen holding Janhvi close to the Ganga, reflecting their camaraderie.

Expressing her excitement about the film, Janhvi shared, “We are very excited to promote such a special film here. We have made this movie with complete honesty and would like to share it with you. It is my career’s most important film.” For their visit, Janhvi exuded traditional elegance in a pastel blue and silver saree, her hair styled in a bun adorned with white gajra, while Rajkummar opted for a comfortable yet stylish look in a linen shirt and beige pants.

In addition to their promotional tour, the film’s second track, ‘Agar Ho Tum’, was released on Monday. This soothing and soul-stirring song has been well-received online, featuring endearing chemistry between the lead Rajkummar and Janhvi. Earlier, the trailer and another song, ‘Dekkha Tenu’, a recreation of the popular verse from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’s ‘Say Shava Shava’, were also released, adding to the film’s anticipation.

Mr & Mrs Mahi is directed by Sharan Sharma, with a script penned by Sharma and Nikhil Mehrotra. The film is presented by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions. It produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Zee Studios. Rajkummar and Janhvi have been fully engaged in the promotional activities for the film. The movie is slated to release in theatres on May 31, 2024.
