SS Rajamouli unveils a new chapter in the Baahubali saga, Baahubali: Crown of Blood, says, “It feels wonderful”

In an unveiling event in Hyderabad, the team of ‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood’ showcased the world their upcoming animated series. They promised viewers an epic journey back in time. The event, held on 7th May, marked a significant milestone in the animation landscape, along with the visionary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli. Gaurav Banerjee, Head of Content at Disney+ Hotstar & HSM Entertainment Network, emphasised the platform’s commitment to storytelling. He described ‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood’ as a show for everyone, whether they’re long-time fans or newcomers to its world.

S.S. Rajamouli, the creative force behind the Baahubali universe, expressed his delight in returning to Hyderabad. He said,“Hyderabad holds a special place in my heart, as it is the city where the Baahubali franchise was created. It feels wonderful to be here unveiling a new chapter in the Baahubali saga with Baahubali: Crown of Blood.”

“Together, we have crafted a story that not only expands the Baahubali universe but also promises to captivate audiences with its epic animation, emotional depth, and complex characters. Sharad Devarajan, Co-Creator, Writer, and Producer of this piece, reflected on the journey. He acknowledged the weight of the responsibility in honouring the Baahubali legacy. Sharad also expressed gratitude for Rajamouli’s guidance and support throughout the creative process.

Sharad Kelkar, the voice behind Baahubali, shared his excitement about reprising his role in the animated series. He said, “I have lent my voices to a lot of characters but Baahubali: Crown of Blood holds a special place in my heart due to my long association with this franchise. Baahubali:Crown of Blood takes this franchise to a whole new level – for fans and new audiences alike. Breathing life into this character yet again is a surreal feeling – like I am stepping into a whole new world unlike anyone has ever seen before and I can’t wait for audiences to see this on Disney+ Hotstar this May!”

As the event concluded, anticipation soared for the series’ release on Disney+ Hotstar, scheduled for 17th May 2024. With promises of grandeur, Baahubali: Crown of Blood aims to captivate audiences with it’s sparkling vision.
