EXCLUSIVE: Akanksha Puri SLAMS Bigg Boss OTT 2 makers for creating controversy out of her kiss with Jad Hadid: When you get TRPs, it’s right

Salman Khan-hosted show Bigg Boss OTT 2 is one of the most talked-about shows right now. After Palak Purswani, Akanksha Puri was the latest one to get evicted from the show. After leaving the house, Akanksha sat down for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble. During the candid conversation, Akanksha Puri opened up about her viral kiss incident with Jad Hadid. The actress slammed Bigg Boss OTT 2 makers for creating a big controversy out of her kiss with Jad.

For the uninitiated, Akanksha and Jad kissed for 30 seconds during a task. The duo’s 30 seconds kiss broke the internet. Later, in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan slammed Akanksha and Jad for doing so. The actor even apoligised for the controversial kiss in the house.

Akanksha Puri breaks silence on viral kiss with Jad Hadid

Addressing the viral incident, Akanksha told us, “I felt that if it was so bad, itna bada mudda tha uss baat ka (if it was such a big issue), then on your same app you’re cutting trailers, making teaser out of it, and you’re making a reel of 30 seconds, you’re making thumbnails, and the episode is with that thumbnail of me and J kissing with ‘hottest kiss ever’, this your Jio app has only written this, then how come your host is saying sorry for this?”

Adding to that, Akanksha said that if it’s such a big thing then why the makers have not deleted the scene and apologised for it.

Akanksha continued, “So, when you have to get the highest TRPs from the episode for this, it’s right. But otherwise, it’s wrong. Yeh double standards mujhe thode samaj nahi aaye.”

The actress further added, “Pehli baat toh mere liye woh ek task tha. I think Jad ne bhi uss cheez ko jyada emotionally kissing me le liya. For me, it was just a task. It was only about winning a task, that’s it. She added, “Aur mujhe pata tha ki mein 30 seconds complete karungi, touch karke lips aur yeh task jheet jaungi (And I knew that I will complete the 30 seconds task, touch lips and win the task). That’s all I wanted to do but he got carried away. Jad ke jagah Pooja (Bhatt) ma’am bhi hoti toh bhi main kiss kar leti (Even if it would have been Pooja Bhatt, I would have kissed).”

For the unversed, after the kiss, Jad called Akanksha a ‘bad kisser’. Addressing the same, Akanksha said, “Yes, that’s because I was not involving my tongue. Woh unka problem tha. (That’s his problem).”
