EXCLUSIVE: Ali Mercchant recalls experiencing ‘mental trauma’ during life’s lows; says, “There was a time ki main socha life hi khatam kardu”

Actor Ali Mercchant is currently having the best time of his life with his third marriage with Andleeb Zaidi. However, there was a time when he faced a dark phase with two failed marriages. Talking about the same, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ali revealed going through depression and mental trauma. So much so that, he even thought of ending his life.

Ali Merchant talks about facing the dark phase

When asked if he felt depressed during his life’s low. The Lock Upp contestant said, “Of course, I have gone through depression, I have gone through mental trauma. There was a time ki main socha life hi khatam kardu, jhanjhat hi khatam, so I have been through all of that but aise time pe doston se zyada main parents ke saath rehta tha aur jab main unka chehra dekhta tha I was like, ‘yaar main kya kar raha hu, I’m not doing anything to make them proud. They don’t deserve this. Unhone toh sahi banda ko paida kiya tha, ye duniya aur duniyadaari ke chakkar mein bigad gaya hai.“

“So, it look a lot of time to get over things but what I realised is that ki life mein sahi galat kuch nahi hota, sach aur jhoot hota hai. Aur kahi na kahi aapko chilla chilla ke batane ki zaroorat nahi ki aap sache ho. Apne aap sab acha hoga aur pata chal jaayega ki ye sahi banda hai,” he continued.

(Of course, I have gone through depression, I have gone through mental trauma. There was a time when I thought about ending my life, just ending all the troubles. I have been through all of that, but during such times, I stayed with my parents more than my friends. And when I looked at their faces, I thought, ‘What am I doing? I’m not doing anything to make them proud. They don’t deserve this. They gave birth to a good person, but he got spoiled because of this world and its ways.’

So, it took a lot of time to get over things, but what I realized is that in life, there is no right or wrong, only truth and lies. And somewhere, you don’t need to shout out loud to prove that you are truthful. Everything will fall into place, and it will become clear who the right person is.)
