Ali Merchant opens up on how he planned the perfect proposal for Andleeb Zaidi in Dubai under Burj Khalifa, ‘She started crying out of happiness’

Ali Merchant has been part of successful shows, including ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, ‘Sadda Haq’, and the reality series Lockupp. He is currently receiving tons of praise for his role in the series ‘Libaas’.The actor is also set to make his Indian Film debut in a lead role in a film produced Faizuddin Siddiqui who is Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother, his production house. Ali recently revealed his relationship with model Andleeb Zaidi on Instagram, and since then, the internet has been in awe of the adorable couple! Ali opens up about how he planned the picture-perfect proposal for Andleeb!

About why Ali Merchant chose Dubai as the destination for the proposal

Ali says his numerous visits to the country made it a clear choice, “I keep going to Dubai quite often, and I have seen how pretty the boat rides under Burj Khalifa are, with music and the fountain dance. That’s when I felt that this was the most aesthetic and beautiful place in the world, and I decided to propose to her there.”

Ali reveals the efforts he made to keep it as picture-perfect as possible, he shares, “We went to Dubai for a week, and first I wanted to propose to her by jumping off the plane – skydiving, but unfortunately, I couldn’t get the booking due to bad weather. Then I thought about doing it on the boat under the Burj Khalifa. I wanted to be on point with the timing of reaching the spot, the music starting, the LED fountain show, and I am so happy it was all on point.”

Sharing Andleeb’s reaction to his proposal, Ali says it was an emotional one for the both of them, “She started crying out of happiness, and so did I.” The actor says he was confident that she would say yes; he says, “I was very sure that she would say yes, as we started dating with good intentions, and no thoughts of just passing time.”

Ali Merchant reveals the one thing he admires most about Andleeb

Ali says, “She puts in a lot of effort in everything related to me and my family, and she keeps everyone happy. She is my dream girl, and I am very lucky to have her in my life. Her love for the voiceless animals shows how kind and generous she is, being an animal rescuer.”

From Ali’s words, it is evident that Ali and Andleeb truly love each other and complement each other well! Fans of the couple can’t stop showering their love too!
