Amit Sadh: Motorcycles saved my life
When asked why he feels motorcycles saved his life, Amit Sadh replied, “Because it did.” On being asked to elaborate, the ‘Kai Po Che!’ actor said, “Mujhe aisa lagta hai, it’s not just motorcycling, you can say Kathak saved my life. Other than your job – your job can have every emotion – success, toxicity, hurdles, love, betrayal, envy, whatever… Any job, anywhere in the world, comes with everything (so) you need something to survive. And there was a time in my life when I didn’t have humans to connect with.”
The ‘Sultan’ actor continued, “It is what it is. At that time, I made a connection with a machine and it was a bike. The riding, the acceleration, the connection, the happiness, the joy, the acceptance that I felt through riding and meeting people through riding and the riding community, I realised ki sab mere tarah hai, sab depression mein hai. Everyone’s cow isn’t giving milk. Everyone is in pain/unhappy.”
He concluded by saying, “Toh yeh, realize hua ki joh cheeze main mehsoos kar raha hu woh sab kar rahe hai, koi stress nahi hai. (I realised all these emotions I feel, others feel them too. So no stress.)“
