Amit Sadh: Paps karoge toh hero ban jaoge

When asked if he has ever felt lost in the industry despite being an actor for years, Amit Sadh said, “Starting mein feel karta tha. Maine koshish bhi ki apne aap ko badalne ki. Then I realised ki it wasn’t needed. Of course as human beings, as a person you want to get better as it is an individual journey I’m on like everyone else. Fir mujhe nahi laga ki… Mujhe joh acceptance chahiye thi industry se nahi milli.”

The ‘Kai Po Che!’ actor continued, “Main bhi toh ladakiya hu toh main bhi dur hua sab se Har jageh se gayab ho gaya. Fir bohot logo ne fear daala ki tum yaha nahi dhekti, paps nahi karte toh film nahi milegi, toh mujhe aur bhi dhuk hua… I’ve been working for 10, 15, 20 years – I am working hard irrespective if I’m good or bad, I’m punctual, I don’t waste a producer’s money and still makers aren’t looking at my work. They say ‘paps karoge toh hero ban jaoge’ ya bade actor ban jaoge, aur kaam milega.”

He concluded by saying, “So I went through my set of turbulence. Time heals things, and if it doesn’t, then you have to do it yourself.”
