EXCLUSIVE: Asha Parekh talks about her rift with Shatrughan Sinha after he made ‘derogatory remarks’; reveals Reena Roy once tried playing mediator

Actor Asha Parekh becomes the newest guest of The Invincibles season 2 show on Bollywood Bubble. During a candid conversation with the host Arbaaz Khan, the veteran actor recalled the rift between her and Shatrughan Sinha. Recalling the time, Asha ji reveals that the rift was created after he became a superstar and when he started demanding things to be according to him. Moreover, there was a time when he made some derogatory remarks on himself and Asha ji didn’t like it.

She was very upset with him and Sinha ji felt her coldness towards her. Speaking about the same, Asha ji said, “He had become a superstar and that time for him was like ‘Whatever I say, that needs to be done’. Then he made some statements in the press which were very derogatory to him, not to me. But I didn’t like it. After that, he felt bad about it and then I wouldn’t talk to him. But slowly he felt like ‘I don’t know why but she seems to be very upset with me. I must have made some mistakes’. He would tell people in the unit.”

Arbaaz Khan asked if Reena Roy was trying to become the bridge for you both. Asha ji said, “Yes, she tried but I didn’t budge in“. Adding that over time things changed between them and Sinha recommended her name for the censor board chief position.

Shatrughan Sinha and Asha Parekh have worked in several movies. Films such as Heera, Sagar Sangam, and Sajan were considered to be successful.
