Balika Vadhu actress Avika Gor is everyone’s favourite and most loved. She has always worked hard and won people’s hearts with her great work. Her work in Sasural Simar Ka as ‘Roli’ also received immense praise from netizens. Now the actress is all set work to hit the Bollywood ground as her film with Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt, ‘Bloody Love’ is out. Recently, Bollywood Bubble got an opportunity to speak with the Avika. When asked whether she has been comfortable shifting from Television to Telegu industry to Bollywood and upon fans accepting her as Bollywood actress, Gor had an interesting answer.
“I like people calling me Anandi,” says Avika Gor
Avika said, “I think they already do. I meet a lot of people who come up to me and say things like, ‘You experiment, and you do a good job at it.’ That is something I look forward to because, as an actor, I love the idea of taking up challenges. All my characters have been really difficult. Even in ‘Balika,’ I am from Mumbai, born and brought up here, but I had to speak in an accent that is Rajasthani, and I was 10 years old. I’ve always been someone who enjoys taking on challenges. For me, I don’t want to get rid of that image. I like the idea of people still calling me Anandi and telling me things like, ‘Aap humare ghar ke member ho.’ This is a huge deal, and not every actor gets to hear that. I want them to feel that I belong to them, and I think that is the connection I’ve built with them.”
