Babil talks about social media pressure

Babil said, “For art, you need to live. You can’t be just doing this. You have meeting se, narration se, narration se script padho, then audition, and while you’re doing this your phone is exploding with messages ki ‘aapne ye post nahi kia? Woh post nahi kia? Designer wait kar raha hai’. How do you focus on art? To experience art, and to express art, you need to make a journey. You need to make a journey within.”

He further added, “You become a slave of your own work. And when your freedom starts getting affected, then it becomes very traumatic for somebody who wants to live his life or her life.”

Babil went on to add that nowadays to go on a trip, he has to take twenty permissions. Adding to that, Babil said that when you become a celebrity, ‘freedom goes’. He continued, “You lose your freedom and that is a very scary thought for an individual.”

Furthermore, Babil added that even though he feels claustrophobic, he’s the one who chose this profession. The actor shared, “I chose all of it. Even if I’m feeling claustrophobic, it never takes away my gratitude. The fact that I’m getting to do this is bigger than anything. So, all of these feelings, also I’m feeling and that also I’m experiencing as art. I’m experiencing it as an art, and expressing it and not thinking too much.”
