EXCLUSIVE: Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui addresses ‘womaniser’ tag, apologies to Ayesha Khan, Nazila: Aapko mere confusion se wajah se hurt hua hai

Munawar Faruqui emerges as the winner of Bigg Boss 17 after beating strong contenders Abhishek Kumar, Mannara Chopra, Arun Mashettey and Ankita Lokhande. It was a roller coater ride for Munawar in the house. From entertaining the audience with his shayari to facing the lows after being revealed of cheating on his partners. Munawar faced heavy criticism and was given tags like ‘cheater’ and ‘womanisers’. Speaking about the same, Munawar revealed that it bothered and hurt him whenever people call him by that tag.

Munawar Faruqui on being called womaniser

During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Munawar said, “Tags aise bohot sun raha hoon na wo mujhe bohot bother kar rahe hai. Maine womaniser suna and it was bothering me a lot. Maine bohot female co-stars ke project ya work kiya hai. And they know how comfortable I make them feel, how respectable I am towards them. So, they all know aur jab iss tarah ke tag sunta hoon na toh taqleef toh hoti hai.” (Such tags like womaniser were bothering me a lot. I have worked with many female co-stars and they know how comfortable I make them feel. How respectable I am towards them. So, they all know but when I get to hear about such tags, it hurts me.)

“Aur rahi baat jo do naam diye hai apne bahar ke toh dono naam ke towards I’m very sorry aur feel kiya ki main hoon sorry unn cheezon ke liye jo mere confusion se wajah se aapko hurt hua hai. Toh uske liye main sorry hoon. I don’t think main sorry hoon aur wo mere lehzein mein naa dikhe aise ho sakta hai. Bus wo diktat hai,” he continued. (Talking about the names that you have mentioned, I’m very sorry. I feel sorry towards them for hurting them and for the confusion I have created. I don’t think my apologetic behaviour was seen in my behaviour, it’s impossible.)

For the unversed, Faruqui saw a downfall in his BB journey when Ayesha Khan entered the house as a wildcard contestant. She exposed him, accusing him of two-timing with her and Nazila. She also revealed how Munawar dated multiple women at once and cheated on his ex-wife to be with Nazila.
