Let’s meet everyone. So, there is excitement. I am excited to see who all will be coming as the tigers of the show.”
When asked if he has any strategy to help survive in the house, the ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ actor answered, “No. I think, I’m the only person who doesn’t make strategies, doesn’t plan. When I don’t plan that’s when something comes before me. I try to solve it. I never plan. Let’s see what kind of situation is created, we’ll talk according to that.”
Shehzada Dhami on being approached for BB OTT & meeting Salman Khan
Shehzada’s name was in circulation as a potential contestant around the time Bigg Boss OTT 3 was set to begin. On being asked if he was offered the show back then as well, the actor replied, “Yes, I was offered, but I didn’t want to do it then. I didn’t want to do it then. But now, we talked a little and we got along. So, finally, I said yes.”
Talking about saying yes to Bigg Boss 18 at a time when his name is also associated with other soap operas, Shehzada Dhami says, “The projects I was talking about, the ones that were getting lined up, their dates were getting pushed. So I was like if those dates get free I have like 2-3 months free, so I can do the Bigg Boss.”
During the same chat, Shehzada also opens up about how excited he is to meet Salman Khan. Dhami said, “If you get an interview with Salman you will dance and sing around won’t you? I love the aura of Salman Khan, the kind of atmosphere he creates is just magical; everyone gets attracted towards him. He has been in the industry for a long time. So I just want to feel the aura he has.”
Shehzada Dhami on handling controversies
Talking about how he plans on handling controversies- especially as in the past it has been seen how escalated arguments have brought up contestants’ careers, Dhami says, “There is no profession that can be compared to the other. If someone has a profession that is their bread butter we cannot question that. So I think both actors and influencers shouldn’t do this because both are the people who influence people at the end, right? It’s possible that our audience is a little different and their audience is a little different but we do influence people, right?”
Dhami further added, “If I am playing the role of an ideal son or an ideal husband, then every family has to think about what they can do good for their wives and their, you know, parents. So we influence each other. If we do this to each other’s profession, then obviously, we have to think about what impact it will have on people.”
Shehzada on YRKKH rumours
During the same conversation, Shehzada Dhami also spoke about what happened on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai and stated that he was disturbed by all that happened. He said, “The claims and all, however, spoken, I spoke in an interview very respectfully and in a decent way about it and said let’s end it now. You live your life, I live mine. I mean, even if you’ve broken your relationship with me, then what problem do you have with me?”
He added, “I’m not a person who lives in the past. The past is in the past. It’s in the past. When we think about the past, it affects our present. It disturbs our life. I don’t think about the past, nor do I think about the future. I think about the present. How can I make my current space happy? I try to do that and I will keep doing that.”
He also revealed how it affected him mentally, “Um, it does affect you mentally. But how you take it is up to you, right? Because, when I came out of there, I said, leave it for the next moment. This thing is over. If I take that thing, that baggage, drag it and take it with me, right? Yeah. So that thing is for my health, right? It won’t be good for me. Yeah. So I left that thing, but they didn’t leave it. Yeah. If they’re not leaving it, it’s their fault, it’s their problem. Yeah, I don’t have that problem because I have left that topic. Let’s see if there is a situation where someone from the front says something about that topic, then obviously I’ll give a clear answer to that.”
Speaking about if actors are ill-treated on sets, Shehzada answered, “Look, every person has their own experience. Not even five fingers of each hand are equal. All the sons of the same mother are not the same. Right? If you have three brothers and sisters, then you will be different. Your brother will be different, your other sister will have a different nature. Right? There will be a different thought process.”
