Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3, the fifth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, is all set to release in theatres worldwide on November 12, 2023. Tiger remains Salman Khan’s most awaited action entertainer and we surely can’t wait for actors to reprise the roles of Agent Avinash and Zoya. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the flick features Emraan Hashmi as an antagonist. A few days back, it was confirmed that, just like Pathaan and Jawan, Tiger 3 will also have an early morning show of 7 a.m. With just a week left for release, the advance booking for the movie has commenced. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, prominent trade experts shared if Salman Khan will get his biggest opener with Tiger 3 at the box office.
Will Tiger 3 emerge as Salman Khan’s biggest opener?
Producer and Film Business expert Girish Johar believe that the festive day release will contribute to the film’s buzz and yield a positive result. He insisted, “The buzz is fantastic and expectations from the film is humongous. Everyone is keenly awaiting its release. It is coming at a beautiful period which is Diwali and the festive box office is pretty huge. There is a space of three-week ticket windows with no major competition. So it can blast if done well everything falls into place.”
Salman Khan look from Tiger 3
Talking about how much Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 can earn on its opening day at the box office, Girish Johar stated, “Since the response from the overseas market is also positive, I am expecting another five-six thousand screen release globally. Having said that, coming on a holiday during Diwali and with early morning shows available, I think 50 crores on day one should be a cakewalk for the film or any Indian market. I am pretty confident it is going to be Salman’s highest opener.”
While trade expert Raj Bansal opined, “I am expecting a huge opening. The craze is phenomenal. The way theatre owners are rushing and they want to book the film and the way they are working on it, I think it will create new box office records. It will definitely have an opening bigger than Bharat (42.30 cr). Having said that, there is a slightly different scenario here because it’s releasing on a Sunday, number one. Number two, it’s Diwali day, which is the weakest day at the box office. And if we look at the highest number of box office revenue, which will come on Monday. But I know this will surely be Salman Khan’s highest grosser.”
He further stated that the three-week window will turn favourable for the flick as it did for Jawan. Raj Bansal insisted, “It definitely does. It did benefit Jawan as well. Jawan had an open run for about three, or four weeks and the same happens with this film. And if you see the record of Salman Khan, no film comes in direct opposition to this film. If you look at his record, no producer, no actor is ready to clash his film against Salman Khan. So, that’s his magic at the box office.”
Tiger 3 will also feature Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan as agent Kabir from War in an extended cameo.
