Shreyas Talpade took the nation by storm when he did the voice-over for the Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ in 2021. Pushpa 2 is also all set to release this year and expectations from film is high. As the film is about to release, Shreyas Talpade in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble talks about Pushpa 2 and reveals if he met Allu Arjun.

The actor is all set to lend his voice for Pushpa 2 as well. During the chat we asked him whether he met Allu to which he revealed, “Mulakat nahi hui (I have not met him yet). But I would love to meet him some day.”
Talking about Pushpa 2, he shares, “After the humongous success of Pushpa 1, even the production team is excited for its sequel. And the scale at which it is being made is also phenomenal. So yes it’s going to be a huge responsibility again. But jo expectation part 1 ne banake rakhi hai, I just hope we are able to live up to that with part 2 as well. (The expectations Part 1 has set, I hope we live up to it with Part 2).”

Shreyas Talpade on popularity of South films
With Pushpa 2, the trend of pan India films and North-South debate started. During the chat, Shreyas opined why South films are recognized in Bollywood, but our films are not dubbed or known there. He says, “There will be recognition of Hindi films there at some point in time. Their films are being dubbed and telecasted since years and so they have successfully created a market here. It didn’t happen overnight. We have even made fun of their content a lot of times saying they are loud.”
He further added, “Talking about us, our films never released there or we never dubbed and telecasted on their channel. So obviously it is going to take some time. But today at the rate things are changing, what they did in 10 years, we can do it within 3 years. But we need to make pan India films for that.”
