EXCLUSIVE: Dino Morea calls ex-girlfriend Bipasha Basu his favourite co-star, talks about how media scrutinised his relationships

Actor Dino Morea who made a massive comeback with The Empire series is now getting good offers. However, there was a time when he struggled with work. Moreover, Dino Morea was always in the news for his relationships, especially with Bipasha Basu. Now, speaking about her and his previous relationships, Dino Morea expressed his heart out in a candid chat with Bollywood Bubble. From talking about relationships to how media scrutiny affected him.

Bipasha Basu is my favourite co-star: Dino Morea

During a fun rapid fire, he was asked to name a co-star who he thinks has a fiery chemistry with. Without any hesitation, Dino named Bipasha. He then added saying he has done most of his films with her. Dino and Bipasha started dating each other at the beginning of their career. Though they both have moved on in their lives, the equation between the two remains the same.

Dino Morea talks about his past relationships

When asked if he looks at his relationships in a different way now. He exclusively told us, “As you grow up and as you go through various life experiences and relationships, it makes you look at life very differently. Ultimately, your wants become less and less. Initially, when you grow up, you have so
many tick boxes on the ideal relationship which is silly. All these silly notions all of us put and as you grow up, you realise ultimately you want a friend, you want a companion. You want someone who you can
share a lot of love with and who is similar to you because they understand you. You understand them and you’re more like friends and that’s all one needs in life. Because I’ve been in relationships where even for 1-2 years and then you have to work on it. Rather I’d work on it with a friend who is someone who just gets you and you get them and it’s just simple and easy. When it’s easy it’s breezy.“

Dino Morea talks about media scrutiny

“Yes, there was always talk and sometimes it became incorrect. When you are in a relationship and when you’re out with someone else for instance, just being friendly and having something to do with someone who’s a friend so much is written about. Even though your partner knows that it’s a friend, there’s always something in their mind that could there be something even when there’s absolutely nothing. Hence, I decided private life should be private. Why do you want to, who do you want to tell? Keep it private, keep it personal, it’s your personal life. I mean my work life, I’ll tell you everything about it but what I do in my personal time should be private and should be for me. People should respect that,” he said.

The Raaz actor further added, “Things then get misconstrued totally, misunderstood. Even if your loyal partner has the utmost trust in you, somewhere you will get a little doubt thinking that people are writing and talking about it, so ‘what’s happening’? That’s it and then when ‘what’s happening’ comes in, it’s a problem.“
