The acclaimed director Suparn Verma is back with yet another intriguing story for his audience with The Trial – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha. The show stars Kajol in the lead role and is set to release on July 14. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the Suparna spoke about a tough choice he made in his life but realized that it was for the good.Â
Suparn Verma reveals the tough life choice he will never regret
Speaking about the incident, Suparn revealed, “At a point in my life, I was offered to direct a film by a godman who is in jail. I was offered a crazy insane amount of money in cash. I paused and thought for about a one-minute maximum and then said no. But, that minute was a strong one because the money was huge.”
Further delving into rejecting the offer, he said, “I wouldn’t have taken the offer but, you still give it a thought because it’s a lot of money. Then in less than a minute, I thought that I am happy. I told my family that I didn’t take the offer up and they just said that’s good.”
For the unversed, Suparn has directed and written some of the most loved shows on OTT. He last directed, Rana Naidu on Netflix. Apart from this he was also co-director and wrote parts of The Family Man.
Talking about the Suparn Verma directorial The Trial it stars Sheeba Chaddha and Jisshu Sengupta. In addition, even Alyy Khan, Gaurav Pandey and Kubbra Sait are a part of the series. It is produced by Banijay Asia and Ajay Devgn Films. The web series will start streaming on Disney+Hotstar on July 14.
