EXCLUSIVE: Divya Dutta reveals she experienced ‘tragedy’ on playing reel sister to real-life crush Salman Khan

Did you know actor Divya Dutta has a crush on Salman Khan and felt tragic when she played the onscreen sister to the superstar? For the unversed, Divya and Salman Khan have worked together in Veergati. During a candid chat with Bollywood Bubble, Divya Dutta revealed that she was excited to do the film with Salman as it was her second movie but was sad that she had to play his sister in the movie. Moreover, she added how helpful he was during the shoot.

The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor exclusively told us, “I had two infatuations in my life and they made me their sister. It was the tragedy of my life. I mean, of course, but they are beautiful friends now. But there was an infatuation phase where you felt so good. So Salman for me was Prem. So you could not be the sister there. But I was new. It was my second film. So working with Salman was exciting for me. And I must say what a revelation he was. Because he was very helpful on the set. And what do you call it? To look over. One him, one Shahrukh. And I think they were exceptional co-stars that I had.”

Moreover, she also spoke about the age gap between the heroes and heroines in the industry. She said, “There is another thing going on in the industry, which mostly we see, it is a matter of age, an older actor works with actresses half his age or younger actresses, and he romances actresses younger than him in films, let me clarify that, has there ever been any reaction about it from any side or audience because it is not like it is not a potboiler of a younger actress.”
