EXCLUSIVE: Dulquer Salmaan REVEALS how his love story with wife Amaal started, says ‘I kept bumping into her’

Duluqer Salmaan is one of the hottest actors we have in the entertainment in industry. Today, the actor dropped down his first ever song Heeriye featured with Jasleen Royal. While the song is all about love, Dulquer shares quite a mesmerizing bond with his wife Amaal.

With his busy schedule, actor Dulqueer Salmaan took some time off and sat with us for an exclusive interview. We all know about the love story shared between Dulquer and his wife Amaal as they completed 11 years of marriage, but finally, we got a response from him on how he met her and whether he kept the meeting a secret! Along with this, we also got the chance to ask him how did he break the news to his family. Without any further delay, let’s head on to what Dulquer has to say on meeting Amaal.

Speaking on how he approached her, the actor said, “We did both go to the same school. She was five years my junior. So when I was in 12th, she was in 7th! But, Chennai is not a very big city, in the sense that everybody knows everybody so you can grow up around the same people.”

The actor further added, “At a certain age in my family, the men are asked to settle down, find somebody or ‘we’ll find somebody for you’, and I don’t like the whole arrange marriage process. I can’t go meet somebody and accept or reject her. I don’t want to do that. So I refused. And then for some reason, I kept seeing my wife Amaal out in Chennai. “

Speaking further, he said, “For two weeks, I kept bumping into her. And all of my life I have not seen this girl out. And I was like why is she popping up everywhere; in the random places like at the movies, or at the salon, or somewhere I kept seeing her. I was like ‘maybe this is a sign’. So I reached out to her old school, like on Facebook. I was like “hey I don’t remember if you know me from school, I’m your senior’.“

Dulquer also said, ” Yeah, and we decided to meet. But, all this was with parents knowing. I was like, ‘look there’s this girl in my school. I think there’s a possible alliance. I want to first meet her and see if something’s there. So if you guys are all okay with it, everybody involved.’ I told her also to tell her parents. We’ll officially meet for a coffee. If there’s nothing there, we’ll just he school-mates who met for a cup of coffee.”
