EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Sunil Pal makes SHOCKING revelation about his kidnapping; says, “They asked Rs 10 lakh ransom”

Comedian and actor Sunil Pal made the headlines when he went missing for hours after his show outside Mumbai on Tuesday (December 4). His wife filed a missing report at the Santacruz police station in Mumbai. The comedian was found unharmed and has now revealed that he was kidnapped by a larger group and he paid a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.

We got in touch with Sunil, who shared the entire incident with us and made a shocking revelation about his kidnapping. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Sunil stated, “I got a random call that there would be a birthday show, you will get to stay in Haridwar as the show is there. There was bargaining about the payment. They asked me for the account number and gave me advance and I shared my friend’s account details for money.”

He added, talking about how he was kidnapped and threatened, and said, “I was at Darbhanga, Bihar and they told me to come late since the show was for the night. Around 6:30 a car came to pick up as they told me to be at a certain location for pick up. I was made to sit inside that car. My eyes were blindfolded. From there the car kept moving for one and a half hours, I don’t know where it went. Phir unhone mujhe dhankiya dena shuru kar di, bauth chilate rahe, cheekthe rahe, ‘farmhouse pe le ke chalo, bache utha lenge, tera toh khatam ho gaya ab, bori mei daal denge. Then they asked me for a Rs 20 lakh ransom, which I refused. Then I was taken to a room, they offered me food roti and paneer and they said will talk to you next morning.”

He further added, “The other day they asked me for Rs 10 lakh, I told them, ‘I don’t have so much money if you call my wife, she will get worried. So I tried asking my friends. I called 4-5 of my friends and got the money transacted to their account. They told me to call my family and say, ‘I’m safe and I will be back home soon’. However, my wife got the hint since I was asking for money and she went to the police station. I think that’s when they got scared, they gave me Rs 20K and told me to go by flight.“

Sunil also revealed that while leaving him roadside the kidnapers stated that they would return their money, and he should not file any complaints. They had his phone for 24 hours and has transferred every data. He revealed that the kidnapper stated, “Hum log bure log nahi hai, aap humare bare mei bura mat sochna, police complain mat karna, pura data humare paas hai apka, hum apko kahi bhi kabhi paise lauta sakthe hai.”

Sunil further also revealed that a similar case happened with one of his friends and actor Mushtaq Khan, six months before. “Aaisa hi same kisa mere dost Mushtaq Khan ke sath hua hai election day pe. After voting he went for the show and was kidnapped. However, he escaped after listening to an azaan sound while he was kidnapped and everyone was drunk and he managed to escape. He told him, that he sealed all his account posts however, one was left toh usme se 2k rupe nikal liye the.”

The comedian has lodged an FIR in this case at the Santacruz police station in Mumbai. His case is under investigation. Sunil is known for his comic roles in Bollywood films such as Bombay to Goa, Kick, Money Back Guarantee, Dirty Politics and more.
