While the popular TV show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah has been making headlines for some time now, there is a bit of saving grace that it might witness soon. As per some reports, it is said that producer Asit Kumarr Modi has confirmed Disha Vakani aka Dayaben’s return to the show. Well, he announced at an event that Disha might return to the show very soon. It is after a six-year-long sabbatical, Disha would return to the show. But will she?

Well, after the recent round of controversies that both Asit Modi and TMKOC have been in, Disha’s re-entry looks like a far-fetched promise. In fact, many believe that making this announcement can be a tactic from the makers to dilute the accusations imposed on them. And when we think of it, we can only say, ‘hey ma! mataji’ (Dayaben style).

Disha Vakani’s return on TMKOC

Recently at an event, Asitji was seen saying, “Hearty congratulations to everyone on this journey of 15 years. There is one artist we cannot forget. Daya Bhabhi aka Disha Vakani. She has entertained fans and made us laugh through it all. Fans are waiting for her comeback. And I also promise you that Disha Vakani will be back in Taarak Mehta very soon…”

Well, listening to this we reached out to some ex-actors from the show and while they didn’t have much to say about it, they wished the show well and hoped that this time Disha returns. In fact, commenting on this very news, Priya Ahuja Rajda said, “I’m not part of the show anymore. Don’t know the truth behind this. Only Asit bhai knows the true intentions behind his actions!“

Well, Disha aka Daya’s return on the show remains to be a mystery that will unfold with time, and we shall only believe it when we actually see her back shouting ‘Tapu ke papa!’
