EXCLUSIVE: Rupali Ganguly’s stepdaughter Esha Verma accuses Anupamaa actress of physical & mental abuse; says, “She slept on my mother’s bed”

Esha Verma, stepdaughter of Rupali Ganguly had made serious allegations against the Anupamaa star of having an affair with her father while he was still married to her mother Sapna. It all began when an old post of her which she later deleted in 2020 went viral on social media on Sunday (November 3).

Esha Verma opens up about Rupali Ganguly and her father Ashwin K Verma’s affair

We exclusively got in touch with Esha to know her story and about the claims that she has made about Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly and father Ashwin K Verma. She revealed that after her four-year post went viral on social media, her father defended Rupali and supported her, and how she provoked him to divorce her mother. Narrating her story, she expressed, “I don’t know what Rupali and Ashwin will now say further to these allegations and comments. I know my father has said something on Twitter now X. He said that Rupali was not involved, and that is the biggest lie because Rupali was the one who came to my house in New Jersey and slept on my mother’s bed—the bed that my father and mother shared. She has done so much, physically, mentally, verbally, and emotionally, abusing me and my mom.”

Esha also reiterates that she was a child during that time and she would not lie about whatever she has faced in life. “I feel like that was a lot of trauma I had to deal with and suffer with and my mom did too. We suffered a lot, and we don’t have that exposure as she does,” she added.

Esha compares her mother to the character Anupamaa on-screen and calls out Rupali as Kavya

Furthermore, Esha Verma also shed light on how her mother suffered and compared her to the character Anupamaa which Rupali portrayed on-screen. She feels that her mother was in that character’s shoes when Rupali and Ashwin had an affair just like Vanraj and Kavya in the show.

She added, “First things first, it’s both parties’ fault for an affair. But I will say if Rupali has claimed the woman that she is, the women’s advocate for women’s rights, an irony from her character in Anupamaa. That she was a wife who got cheated by her husband, who had an affair and whatnot—that is the story of my mother. She (Rupali Ganguly) was Kavya, I don’t watch the show but that’s what I have heard. And she comes into our lives. She has made my father, like she told my father to give the divorce papers and this happened twice to my mother. And my father would run off to India to be with her. And regardless of that, having an affair while being married is completely wrong.”

Esha Verma is Ashwin K. Verma and Sapna K. Verma’s biological daughter. She is 26 years old and lives in the USA, New Jersey. Her parents got married in 1997. Her father Ashwin was married twice before tying the knot to Rupali Ganguly in 2013. Rupali and Ashwin have a son named Rudransh.
