Criminal lawyer and Bigg Boss 17 fame Sana Raees Khan shared some important anecdotes from her journey. She opened up about an intense case in which she received death threats she faced while fighting the Divya Pahuja case.

Sana Raees Khan took on the case despite the risks and recalled receiving multiple death threats from unknown sources as she worked tirelessly to seek justice for Pahuja.
Speaking exclusively with Bollywood Bubble, she said, “I have received death threats frequently in several cases, yet I remain undeterred. However, the case which left a lasting impact was the Haryana encounter matter, wherein I received threats much more often than usual while I was defending model Divya Pahuja, yet I defended her and got her out of prison and she thanked me for saying that I have given her a second life. However, unfortunately, she was killed within a few months of her release.”
All About Divya Pahuja case
Divya Pahuja, who had been incarcerated for a period, was tragically killed within months of her release. She was a former model and aspiring lawyer who was involved in the 2016 murder of gangster Sandeep Gadoli. In 2016, she was arrested at the age of 18 for her alleged role in Gadoli’s murder. She was accused of being the main perpetrator in the alleged fake encounter that led to Gadoli’s death.
In June, the Bombay High Court granted Divya bail. On January 2, 2024, Divya was shot and killed in a hotel in Gurugram. After 88 days, the Gurugram police filed a charge sheet in court, which included the suspect’s confession and details about the murder sequence.

Sana also reflected on the significant journey from being a risky profession to entering the entertaining show Bigg Boss hosted by Salman Khan. Mastering the best of both worlds, she feels that she will always be inclined towards her passion, which is her work.
“Law is my first love and passion, and this profession has given me immense wealth and fame already, so I definitely never intended to do any reality show; hence, I declined the show initially; however, since Diwali vacation was around the corner when the show was about to start, I decided to do it just for an experience,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Sara is also the lawyer in the Anupamaa fame Rupali Ganguly case. She has helped her file Rs 50 crore as defamation compensation from stepdaughter Esha Verma for allegedly maligning her character and personal life.
