EXCLUSIVE: Tusshar Kapoor on having son Laksshya via surrogacy: Never got such a good response for my movies than for this

In 2016, actor Tusshar Kapoor became a father to his son, Laksshya, who was born through surrogacy. The actor took everyone by surprise when he announced that he became a parent after welcoming a son Laksshya via surrogacy. Well, speaking candidly about his surrogacy, Tusshar opened up about being a single parent, choosing IVF to have a son and the support he received from all around.

Tusshar Kapoor on choosing surrogacy:

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Tusshar Kapoor told us, “There was so much positivity when I announced about my son, I made the announcement with all the details about IVF and the surrogacy procedures, the doctors’ quote was there and my family’s quote was there. So, we were honest that there’s a lot of positivity.”

Tusshar Kapoor on people’s response to him choosing surrogacy:

“Usually, when we do something drastic, there’s a good opinion, there’s a bad opinion but this was all good and I was very welcomed by the media, with my industry, my fraternity members, my friends, relatives and people whom we have not met for years also. I think when it comes to a child and starting a family, it gets a little unconventional, especially since people in India are very liberal. I think there’s a misconception in India that we kind of hold on to the age-old norms. Yes, we do, we do have our own traditions but we are also very easygoing when it comes to when you have the right attitude and the right approach and if your intentions are correct, I think people can smell it like is there some sort of fad here or is this person trying to do things for the heck of it or does he mean well when he wants to start his family so unconventionally, was he very serious about it or not. I never got such a good response for my movies than I got for this,” the Golmaal actor.

Just like Tusshar Kapoor, even his sister Ekta Kapoor has also opted for surrogacy and is a single parent to a son Ravie.
