Fatima Sana Shaikh shares how she deals with slut-shaming
But first, we asked her how she deals with nasty media reports and does it affect her. Speaking about this, Fatima said, “It does not affect me because I am taking therapy. It’s not about me, it’s about them and it excites them. It satisfies their need of having something to talk about. Sometimes when you put other people down, your ego gets triggered. So they are trying to massage their own ego.”
For the unversed, Fatima Sana Shaikh was in the headlines for being in an alleged relationship with Aamir Khan. Due to this, the actress faced slutshaming a few times. We asked her if it ever hurt her when she was given this negative remark. Responding to this, Fatima said, “Of course it hurts. When somebody slut-shames you or when they call you names, it hurts.“
Further, Fatima added, “But at a point when it happens on social media and there is no name, there is no face. So I disassociate myself. And then I am like ke tu mere hi profile me aake tu mujhe hi gaali dega, so I block them (If you come to my page and give negative remarks to me, I will block you). Meri zindagi hai mai decide karungi, mera page hai mai decide karungi (It’s my life and I will decide; it is my page and I will decide).“

The last thing that I want to deal with is this man telling me ‘oh you are this person, you should do this and that.”
