EXCLUSIVE: Gaurav Chopraa shares challenges of being a single parent: Don’t get to see my son as much as I’d like to

Actor Gaurav Chopraa who is currently basking in praises for his performance in Rana Naidu had a hush-hush wedding. He got married to Hitisha Cheranda on 19 February 2018 in a private ceremony. The couple then became parents to a boy in 2020. However, they have been not staying together for a while now. Amidst the separation, Gaurav Chopraa spoke about the challenges of being a single parent in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble.

Gaurav talks about his son…

Gaurav spoke about the undermining of a father’s struggles and how staying away from his son added to all the pain and darkness. When asked about the same, the Uttaran actor told us, “The situation is not that… he doesn’t live with me he lives in Bangalore. I don’t get to see him as much as I would like to. It’s like a threshold point, once you’ve crossed it, once you’ve become a parent, you can’t undo that. Of course, you can become self-centred and live a life where you don’t care about it. Or you can accept the fact that you’ve discovered something special and now you want to be a better person, a better version of yourself.”

“I think that everybody should go through this experience of reliving their own childhood, finding out who you were as a boy when you see a little version of yourself in front of you. It’s also beautiful when there are family traits and mannerisms and gestures and features.” the Rana Naidu actor concluded.

Gaurav Chopraa shared post after becoming a father:

Back in September 2020, Gaurav shared a heartfelt post on social media after welcoming his son. His caption read, “19-08-2020 29-08-2020 14-09-2020 Enlightenment in three dates. The meaning of life, explained in this short span of time .. a roller coaster ride, a cycle … never ending…an emotional and physical test .. and then divine intervention and a bountiful blessing today … Between the morning and the afternoon, between two placards on the door .. everything changed! thank you for your love and blessings..it’s been my strength…”
